Day 5
PAHALGAM – SRINAGAR - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING TULIP GARDEN
After breakfast, depart from Srinagar towards Pahalgam, famously known as the "Valley of Shepherds." En route, visit the Awantipura Ruins, an ancient site of temples dating back to the 9th century. Continue your journey and pass through the scenic Saffron fields and Cricket Bat Factories, known for producing traditional Kashmiri willow bats. Upon reaching Pahalgam, known for its popularity in the Indian Film Industry, you can visit several attractions. Explore Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood hit film "Betaab," featuring lush green meadows, snow-clad mountains, and dense vegetation. You can also visit Aru Valley, a picturesque village located 12 km from Pahalgam, known for its scenic beauty and tranquil environment.
Alternatively, visit Chandanwari, situated 16 km from Pahalgam, which serves as the starting point for the annual pilgrimage to Amarnath Cave during July and August. Please note that local taxis are available for hire for these excursions (at your own expense).
